Cinematographer C.J.Rajkumar has authored two books in tamil named " Asaiyum Padam " and " Pixel ". Asaiyum padam is the first
ever book on cinematography in tamil language. His second book Pixcel deals with Digital Cinematography which received wide appreciation from critics , media film fraternity and students.
He started his career as a DOP with the short film names " Aayeesha ". This short film opened the flood gates to short film making in Tamil
and went on to win various international awards including MIFF 2002 Best Short film.
" A Mango tree in the front yard, his next short film shot digitally was selected in competition at the prestigious 59th Berlin International film
festival and was critically acclaimed in numerous international film festivals across the world.
" The Backwaters " , his short film in Malayalam went on to represent many international film festivals.
His feature films include Kanavu Meippadavendum, Mann, Periyar, Asthamanam, Panithuli, Perumaan, Ballpen ( First Kannada movie
to be short in 5D Mark II ), Sattam oru Iruttarai, Summa Nachunnu Irukku, Pongi Ezhu Manohara.
